Heavenly Sunlight!

If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there:if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; Even there shall they hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me. If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee. Psalm 139 8-12

Walking in sunlight all of my journey,Over the mountains, through the deep vale;Jesus has said, I’ll never forsake thee—Promise divine that never can fail.
Heavenly sunlight! Heavenly sunlight!Flooding my soul with glory divine;Hallelujah! I am rejoicing,Singing His praises, Jesus is mine!
Shadows around me, shadows above meNever conceal my Savior and Guide; He is the light, in Him is no darkness,Ever I’m walking close to His side.
In the bright sunlight, ever rejoicing,Pressing my way to mansions above;Singing His praises, gladly I’m walking,Walking in sunlight, sunlight of love.

Lemonade Birthday Card

The forcast this weekend----Tropical weather in Kentucky! Tall cold glass of lemonade, out on the veranda, anyone? My porch will have to do... You choose-front porch, we'll watch the kids on the tree swing. Back porch, we'll watch the goats play on the hillside. Either way, we'll have the company of the chickens. Oh, and don't forget the cookies!
My Card base is 4 in X 5 1/2 in. I used DCWV Flower Shower Stack and Glitter Stack. I cut out the green layer about 2 1/2 in tall and the gingam layer about 1 1/2 in tall. I inked around the edges and doodled around the card. Use the citrusy ribbon to hide the seam. Using Just Because Cards cardridge, I cut the glass out of Vellum twice. The glittery lemonade didn't show very well so I cut the bottom of the glass out so you could see the drink. I then popped it on the card. I cut out happy birthday from A Child's Year in yellow then orange, the orange slightly larger to act as a shadow. I used my gypsy to layout and cut each part. Thanks for stopping by and have a great, sunny weekend!!!

"He is Risen" Easter Card

I know Easter Day was 2 months ago, and, although it's worth remembering everyday, this is such a late post because I didn't take a picture of this card until today. ;) I did not have a cross that was as simple as I wanted this card to be. After seeing someone modify the pooh font little "t" on the Cricut MB my brain started up. (Only for a moment, but I had my Gypsy in hand to capture it!) :) I took the Keystone capital T, placed one rightside up, one on top upside down and welded them together. I loved it! (Then the ole brain shut down and I was back to my usual self. :) I cut out a Beyond Birthdays oval cutout card. I embossed each side of the oval and chalked the flowers. I wrote "He is Risen", chalked the cross and popped it inside the card, making sure it was center of the oval. All done! Hope you have a truly blessed day!!!

Butterfly faith card

A very simple card I made a while ago. I see a few improvements I could have made but overall I am happy with how it turned out. The background paper was a stash I had from The Dollar Tree. The ribbon came from Making Memories, I think. The butterfly is still one of my favorite cuts. It comes from the cricut cartridge Home Accents, as does the word faith. I used my Sakura pens to dot around the butterfly and finished the body with pearls. Thanks for looking and if you leave a comment, it is very encouraging!!!

Summertime

One of my friends posted on facebook this past week "Summertime... where the livin' is easy" I thought of this tree and wagon and wanted to make her a card as cheerful and sunny as she is. I used Alphalicious and Just Because Cards. I found DCWV Flower Shower stack on clearance at Joanns. Using my gypsy (which I love!!!!!!), making a shadow, I welded the sun to "Summertime" popped the tree top, the sun on top of the shadow, the wagon, and "time". I love that sun die cut- it seems to radiate warmth. When I see the wagon and tree swing, I imagine mom calling the children in for lemonade and that they'll be back shortly. I inked everything, including my fingers! God Bless you and I hope your summer is bright and sunny!

Shower of Blessings Card

This is one of the first cards I ever made. I did not have design studio (DS) or my gypsy at the time. I cannot remember which cart had the umbrella, but I had to cut it at least 10 in to get it to cut at this 4 in size. (I forgot about real dial size.) I cut a white circle out with George and Basic shapes, stamped it, handwrote "Shower of Blessings", then cut a shadow of that same circle. I dry embossed the rain drops ( I think they are on a fiscars embossing plate) on the card and umbrella. I then cut the grass ( can't remember which cartridge) and used flowers from making memories. Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope blessings rain down on you today!

Happy Anniversary using Sweethearts Cartridge

I had to make a special card for a special friend for her anniversary. I also made her favorite cake and thought I was being good friend until I heard that another friend sent them steaks! She is such a blessing to so many, I hope we made her feel special! Anyway, back to this card. I used this adorable pair of birds from the Sweethearts cartridge. I popped the wings, hat and nest , then the whole project is popped (except the words). Clicking on the picture of the card will make it larger so that you can better view the details. TFL Hope you all have a blessed day!

Lyrical Letters Hello Card

This card turned out so bright and cheerful. I hope to start taking better pictures of my cards soon. I used my cricut and Lyrical Letters to cut out "hello" and the butterfly. I cut the inside of the card to stick out about an inch from the bottom so that it could be embossed. I used 3 birds paper and cardstock from Walmart. (If you click on the card you will get a better view of the details)Thanks for looking!!!

Mother's Day Cards
